Who We Are

ShopSEOservices.ca provides Shopify SEO services to ecommerce businesses in Canada. This policy covers theshopseoservices.ca website and any inquiry or engagement that starts through it. It does not cover other companies whose sites you reach from ours.

We are the party responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach us at hey@shopseoservices.ca about anything in this document.

What We Collect

Three things, and nothing beyond them.

• What you send us. The audit and contact forms ask for your name, email address and store URL, and give you room to describe the problem you are trying to solve. Booking a call adds the time you picked and any answers you give Calendly. Everything in those fields is information you chose to type.
• Access you grant us. If you engage us, you may give us read access to Google Search Console, Google Analytics or your Shopify admin. We use that access only for the work you hired us to do, and you can revoke it yourself at any time from your own account.
• Server logs. Our host records standard request data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested. We use it to keep the site up and to investigate abuse.

We do not take payment details through this website. We do not buy contact lists, and we do not build profiles of visitors who never contact us.

Why We Collect It

• To reply to you and to prepare the audit or proposal you asked for.
• To deliver and report on services you have engaged us to provide.
• To keep records we are required to keep for tax and accounting purposes.
• To keep the website available and secure.

We do not sell personal information, we do not rent it, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.

Where Your Information Is Processed

We are not located in Canada. ShopSEOservices.ca operates from Pakistan, and the people who read your message and do the work are there. Our service providers are also outside Canada.

This matters for one reason worth stating plainly: information held in another country can be accessed by the courts and authorities of that country under its own laws, regardless of Canadian privacy legislation. If that is not acceptable for your business, do not send us sensitive information, and tell us before granting any account access so we can discuss what the engagement would involve.

We apply the standards set out in Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) to the information we hold about you, because that is the standard our clients are entitled to expect.

Who Processes It For Us

These are the third parties that can receive personal information through this website. Each one processes it only to provide its service to us.

• Tally. Hosts the audit request and contact forms embedded on this site. Data is held in the European Union.
• Calendly. Handles call scheduling and sends the calendar invitation. Data is held in the United States.
• Our hosting and email providers. Serve these pages and carry messages you send to us. Data is held in the Outside Canada.

Each provider runs under its own privacy policy for the data it holds. If you would rather not use the embedded form or the booking calendar, email us instead and nothing is sent to either.

Cookies and Analytics

These pages are static files. We set no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no analytics of our own. Nothing on this site follows you to another one.

The booking calendar and the forms are loaded from the providers named above only when you scroll to them, and they set their own cookies at that point under their own policies. If we ever add analytics, this section will name the provider and say what it collects before that collection starts.

How Long We Keep It

• Inquiries that do not become engagements are deleted after 24 months.
• Client records are kept for the length of the engagement and then for the period Canadian and local tax and business record keeping rules require.
• Account access is removed at the end of an engagement, or sooner if you ask.

Client Data and Confidentiality

Anything we see inside a client account, including Search Console properties, analytics accounts, store admin, revenue figures and product data, is confidential.

We never publish a client's performance data, screenshots, name or logo without written permission. Where permission covers the data but not the identity, we anonymise to industry level and crop any screenshot so the property and URL are not visible. We do not use client data to train or prompt third-party AI tools.

Your Rights

You can ask us to do any of the following, at any time, at no cost.

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you and where it came from.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete it, unless we are legally required to keep it.
• Stop contacting you.

Email hey@shopseoservices.ca and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that we do not hand your information to someone else.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to inquiry and client data is limited to the people doing the work, accounts are protected with two-factor authentication where the provider supports it, and we hold client credentials as read-only access wherever the platform allows it rather than taking passwords.

No system is perfectly secure and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your information in a way that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will tell you and the relevant regulator.

Changes to This Policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. If a change is material, and we hold your contact details, we will tell you directly rather than relying on you to notice.

Questions, requests and complaints all go to hey@shopseoservices.ca. We would rather hear a complaint directly and fix it.

If our answer does not satisfy you, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca, or the privacy regulator in your province.
